Terms and conditions

These terms explain what you can expect from OurPace and what we expect from you. We have written them in plain language on purpose. If anything is unclear, just ask us.

Who we are

OurPace is an app for couples who want to lose weight and get fitter together. You log your weigh-ins and workouts, you can see each other's progress, and you get a plan that fits the two of you. You will find it at ourpace.eu. Questions about these terms? Write to us at info@ourpace.eu.

By creating an account and using OurPace, you agree to these terms.

What OurPace is — and what it is not

OurPace gives you general lifestyle information about eating, moving and habits. That is all it is.

OurPace is not medical advice. It is not a diagnosis and it is not a treatment. We are not your doctor, dietitian or physiotherapist, and the app knows nothing about your medical situation.

If you are in any doubt, or if there is something medical going on, speak to your GP first. The same goes if you take medication, if you have a condition that affects how you eat or move, or if you notice something while using the app that worries you.

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or recovering from an illness, an operation or an injury, talk your plans through with a doctor before you start. In some cases the app will ask you to do exactly that before it shows you a plan.

You decide what you do with the information. If something hurts or does not feel right, stop and seek advice.

Your account

You need an account to use the app. You are responsible for your own login details: keep your password to yourself, and let us know if you think someone else has access.

One account per person. You share your progress with your partner, not your login.

You must be at least 18 years old to use OurPace.

We may suspend or close an account if it is used to harm others, to break the law or to disrupt the service.

Subscription

A subscription to OurPace is per couple, not per person. The two of you share one subscription, and each of you has your own account within it.

OurPace is currently in a closed testing phase and is free to use. There will be a paid subscription later on. We will tell you exactly what it involves before it applies to you, and you will never be charged without agreeing first. The details will be set out in a later version of these terms.

Cancelling and deleting your account

You can stop whenever you want. Cancelling and deleting your account are both things you do yourself, online, under Profile in the app — no email, no phone call, no waiting for us.

Deleting your account is immediate and permanent: your logged data goes with it and we cannot bring it back. If you are coupled with a partner, their account stays exactly as it is and simply carries on without yours.

Your data

We collect as little as possible, we keep it in the European Union and we never sell it. What we store, why and for how long is set out in our privacy statement.

Availability and liability

We do our best to keep the app working properly and to fix problems quickly. Even so, we cannot promise that OurPace is always available or always free of errors: maintenance, updates and outages happen.

What you do with the information in the app is your own choice and your own responsibility. We are not liable for damage that follows from that choice, or from the app being unavailable for a while.

None of this limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited, for example in the case of intent, gross negligence or damage to health or life.

Changes to these terms

These terms will change as OurPace grows — the subscription section certainly will. If we change something, we will tell you before the new version applies to you, so that you can decide whether you want to carry on.

Complaints and applicable law

If something is not right, email info@ourpace.eu. We will get back to you and try to sort it out together.

Dutch law applies to these terms. If you are a consumer, you still keep the mandatory protection that the law of your own country gives you: nothing here takes that away from you.
